    Hi
My client would like to allow their suppliers to enter bulk orders for particular products (ie: many orders to different shipping addresses but entered at the same time) and then my client would be alerted that the order was entered and the shipping labels were generated for printing.

In summary: The supplier would log in as a WP user. They would have limited access to only order their own products that are listed on the website (This is where my client has distributer rights and the supplier does not ship but does receive order requests directly). The supplier would need to be able to enter multiple orders easily at the same time. My client would then print the labels and ship the goods.

Can you advise on the best approach please?

    My questions are:

Can a WP user be restricted to order only certain products in WooCommerce?
Is there an easy way for bulk orders to be entered?
What is the best label plugin/addon?

The site is not available yet.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hey @tinagfx,

For restricting purchasing, I would suggest taking a look at WooCommerce Memberships. It lets you create different membership levels. In this case, you’d would need a level per customer. Then you can restrict access to products based on membership level.

That would allow your customers to only purchase products that are “theirs.”

The supplier would need to be able to enter multiple orders easily at the same time.

This part is a bit trickier. WooCommerce only supports one cart per customer at a time.

One way some businesses get around this is to use WooCommerce Wishlists. The customer could create a new wishlist for each “cart” they need. Then when the time comes, they can add all of the items in that list to the actual cart and check out.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    Cheers
