    Hi there,

    I’m setting up MailPoet for a new website and so far I’m abosolutey happy with the plugin. Thanks for the awesome work!

    The only thing that does not work as intended: if a user unsubscribes, it is not possible to resubscribe with the same email (no confirmation mail is sent out and the status in MailPoet is still “unsubscribed”).

    I’m using the lastest versions of MailPoet ( 3.50.1 ) and Mailpoet Pro ( 3.0.92 ) on WordPress 5.5.

  • I was testing exactly the same feature on my website and I am having the same issue. I hope the developers resolve this soon.

    Thanks for writing. Sorry for the issue you’re having. We tested our “re-subscribe” process and we were able to renew our subscription to the same list after previously unsubscribing.

    As mentioned in our previous reply. We were not able to replicate this issue are users should be able to signup again after unsubscribing. Contact us via email so we can check on your site as well.

    Hi, seems I have the same issue.

    I tried with a test email account and this is what I get:

    1. I subscribe, receive confirmation email and clic on the link to confirm
    2. In the admin the status is “subscribed” and the list is associated to the account -> perfect!
    3. I manually change the status in the admin from “subscribed” to “unsubscribed” and remove the association with the list
    4. The account is now shown as “unsubscribed” in the admin and the list is not associated to the account -> perfect!
    5. I try to re-subscribe with the same email
    6. In the admin I see that the list is again associated with the account BUT the status is still “unsubscribed”
    7. I don’t receive any confirmation email, so apparently it’s impossible to re-subscribe

    I’m using a form made with Elementor and managing the subscription process using API.

    Am I missing something?
