Result Entry Problem

    I am using the sportspress pro paid for system. Our website has been in development for a Football Club for a few months now as we iron out all the little niggles.

    The biggest issue we have come across compared to other systems used in the past is adding the score/result to an event. We have 5 teams – Adults/Reserves/Ladies/Veterans/Youths – 5 Different Leagues with a minimum of 40 fixtures a week, we imported these in as events. For 5 of the fixtures we would need to go into the event and edit it to reflect goal scorers and various stats about our home team which is fine. The other 35 or more fixtures for the week we only need to add the score so the tables all update correctly.

    I have mentioned this twice in emails over the last couple of months and have been told it would be passed on to the Developers for consideration. However i really do feel this is a big issue. There should definitely be an easier way to input scores for events that have already been created. Either in a Results Grid or even on the quick edit function of the events list.

    I like this software very much, but the time it takes to input scores is seriously making us question whether or not we can continue down the path of using it.

    Thanks for your honest feedback! Don’t worry, we’re not ignoring your suggestions. The development team is aware of this request and is continuously making changes to SportsPress to improve user experience. We’re currently looking into different ways to implement a better way to update events. That said, please understand that SportsPress is an open-source project and we encourage our users to get involved and, if they can, contribute to the core plugin.
