    Hello there,

Since the last version (I guess) of your plugin, the resume button that we create with the shortcode [uo_learndash_resume] displays even if the course has not started (whereas it was hidden until the user start a course before).

As a result, the trick you gave here is not working anymore and cause UX issues in my website.

Can you please redo the system that hides the resume button until a user starts the course ?

    Best regards

    Hello Uncanny,

Did you get a chance to look at this ticket ? I guess the issue started with the last changes you made with the resume views…

    Please help ??

Sorry @maksanse , this one took us a few days to investigate.

First, you shouldn’t use our button on a LearnDash post type; it will cause issues. We are also implementing an update that will check post type to alleviate possible errors. Until we release an update to the free Toolkit, you can download an updated file here: https://we.tl/t-oh0z0Dauyl. If you replace the current version of that file at the address below by FTP it should help (but we still discourage using the shortcode on LearnDash post types):

    wp-content/plugins/uncanny-learndash-toolkit/src/classes/learn-dash-resume.php

    Hello !
    Thank you for this answer.

I made the file replacement, and I guess the issue was solved but, at the same time, the additionnal CSS of my theme was purged (no more “additionnal CSS” in my theme settings) ??

Is it possible that your file did such removal ?
If it is, do you have a way to solve this issue without interferring with this additionnal CSS ? (which may cause issues to other users as well) ?

And other question : what do you mean with “LearnDash post type” ?
I just use this resume button on regular pages (not Learndash course ones) and bbpress pages ??

    Thank you for your help

    Hi @maksanse ,

It’s not possible that this file update would have modified theme settings.

Using a child theme with style.css overrides is always recommended, and I unfortunately can’t tell you what might have removed any CSS in the theme settings. Did you try troubleshooting issues by temporarily switching themes? It could potentially be related.

Sorry, by LearnDash post types I mean courses, lessons, topics and quizzes. Is there any chance you could have added the resume button to a sidebar or menu, which would then make it show up for those post types? That’s odd though if it was only on forum and page post types, but it’s good that you’re at least seeing a difference with the updated solution (though I believe our developers mentioned the change was just to exclude it from loading on certain post types).

Actually, I didn’t do anything but switching the files you gave me… So that’s a strange issue I faced here…

But anyway, it was on a staging and when I put back my CSS, it works, so it won’t be a big deal if that happens again when you update the plugin ??
(btw, the additional CSS I am talking about is not taken into account if I put it in the style.css of my child theme… long story but I couldn’t find any other solution but to place it in Theme settings…).

For the post-type, I confirm I don’t use the resume button in Learndash post types (obviously not a place for this kind of button), so I guess I am just the first one here to face this issue, but not the only one, so the update will be welcome ??

    Best regards

PS : By the way, your “notify me of follow-up replies via email” do not work : I didn’t received notification on my email (and it is not in spam also)

Hi @maksanse, that is very strange about the CSS. Keep us posted on whether you do run into other issues.

This forum is powered by www.ads-software.com and unfortunately isn’t anything we can manage; it’s driven by the WordPress team.
