Retain gallery’s “Link to Media File” links

  • It’d be nice if Gallery Slideshow respected/implemented the existing Gallery setting for “Link to : Media File” (or whatever else one sets it to), and kept the links specified.

    It’s also be great if you could add an option for adding a “rel” or link “class” for integrating with existing lightbox plugins.

    Nope. Not two links.

    For items that link to the media file, it’d be useful to be able to have that link have a “class” and or “rel” attribute to fire the various lightbox scripts that use them.

    They could just be set globally via the shortcode for all the links, as they’d be used for all in a gallery, I’d think in most cases.

    For instance to use the “Easy FancyBox” lightbox, one would add a class=”fancybox” to the links. For the Divi theme, it’s magnificPopup lightbox implementation is invoked with class=”et_pb_lightbox_image”.
