Retina logo served in Firefox bug?
-
Hey,
I recently noticed that there seems’s to be some kind of bug when the retina images are being served in Firefox. If you look at my site in Firefox (desktop screen): https://vogastyling.com/
you can see that the logo is crisp and retina served, but for some reason, when you hover with the mouse to the right of the logo, the site presents that blank white header area as a clickable area. It’s like the 2x version of the logo image is stretched across the header. I noticed this because the “invisible clickable logo” collided with the navigation text and pushed it down to another row in the header. So I had to decrease the font size of the navigation menu because of this. Otherwise it wouldn’t fit, although there’s plenty of space between the logo and the navigation menu.
I’m using picturefill as a method. I checked my other sites, and it’s the same thing with all of them. Why? Another question I have, is why the retina logos are only being served on Firefox but not in Chrome? If you visit the same site on chrome, you can clearly see a big difference in sharpness in the logo (on desktops).
Thanks in advance!
/Robert
