Retire post don’t work when using cron job

I have set the “Feed Update Type” to be “Complete.?When items no longer appear on the feed, they are obsolete; retire them from the WordPress posts table.”

When I update the feed manually, then it works and the items/posts are automatically placed in “Retire”.

However when using a cron job to update the feeds, this do not work, and the old items/posts are not retired.

Also a feature request: I would love to have a option to automatically and permanently delete items/posts when they no longer appear on the feed.
