• I was able to “press this” from bookmark. now the function is replaced with this stupid plugin. First, you need to install two plugins “press this” and “press this new post” to use the function. Second, when you click “press this” from “NEW” menu, it only show a blank window, there is no title, no pictures, no text caught. Then you have to copy the link into it and click scan. OK, you get media in the link; but still, title, text, source, none has been caught. Third, you have to copy title, click media wanted to add, copy text, and copy source link into the new post. Fourth: what do I use these two plugins for? nothing. just junk function. You can simply click “new post”, and copy all the items from the source link into the new post.
    Junk junk junk!

    Howdy,

Press This from WordPress itself never included an item in the “New” menu — only the bookmarklet (restored in version 1.1.1 of this plugin) that you could click on from your browser’s bookmark bar when viewing a site outside of your WordPress install.

It sounds like you may want to install the bookmarklet available via the Tools page within your wp-admin once Press This is installed.

Regarding “Press This New Post”, I would suggest voicing your concerns with that plugin’s developer. There is no association between me and that plugin.

Then, how to use this plugin???? You said “you could click on from your browser’s bookmark bar”—But I do not see anything to click to use this plugin (Neither Firefox nor Chrome). Excuse me, I installed the ver1.1.1, and I have Firefox and Chrome all updated. I have to install “press this new post”, which at least can be used by clicking “NEW”–>”Press this”

@sbning: Go to Tools ? Available Tools. Scroll to the end of the “Press This” block. There you will see a “Press This” icon. If you hover over it, you will see a link that starts with “javascript:(function(a,b,c,d)…”. Drag this icon to your bookmarks bar. You have now created a “Press This” bookmark.

When you want to post a link to a site you’re on, click on the bookmark you just created.
