“Retrieve Reviews” button doesn’t work

Are you getting any sort of error messages? Can you provide a screenshot?

No messages. It ends the procedure by saying “finished” but does not load the new reviews

Right-click on the page > inspect > look for the console window. See if there are any messages in there that might help. If not then follow these instructions to remove FB access and re-add.

– First revoke access for the app to your FB account. Go here…

Find “WP Review Slider” and remove it.

and sign-in. That should request a new API token from FB. Make sure you give access to all the Page options in the Facebook pop-up.

– Finally, un-check and re-check any pages that you want to use in the plugin.

– Then copy and paste the code back into the plugin, save the settings and try again.

Can you provide a link to the Facebook page with the reviews? It’s possible that Facebook isn’t returning any reviews. It depends on the privacy settings of the person who left the review. If you only have a few, then it could be possible that they are hidden.

Also, you can check the javascript console for messages. Before you click the “Retrieve Reviews” button, right-click on the page > inspect > look for the console window. Then go click the button and see if any messages show up.

the problem was caused by the privacy of the facebook user.
