Return error to user

  • Hi guys! How are you? I’m a newbie here but I develop for WP since a long time ago.
    I’m from Brasil, my english is very bad. =/

    I’ve created a plugin that’s used during a post publish.
    My plugin, is to upload 2 images through a function that returns true or false.

    When the upload of the image is done correctly, the function returns true otherwise it returns false.
    However, when the function returns false, I can not return an error to the user or, for example, mark the post as a draft or something.
    Gostaria de saber se alguém aqui poderia me ajudar nessa quest?o.
