I have first wasted 2 hours of my time trying to fix it myself until a google made me realise it’s an issue and I’ve tried almost all the solutions and combinations thereof for another hour without success.

I suppose because I’m working localhost I won’t get an answer/reply here either.

I even noticed people abandoning the plugin for others. It would be really sad if you create this bug on purpose so that people would just go screw it let’s buy the pro version.

Anyway, that’s my 2 cents. Use it or lose it

I’ve actually almost spent the whole night trying to solve this. I proceeded to using just one image and that didn’t work. Then I even went back and made plain JPG images, thought the transparent PNG might just be the thing.

Curiously enough one, image worked, but as soon as I have two images, the one JPG worked and the next will slide in with that subtle border on the left and right.

I’ve CSS bordered just about everything 0/none !important, same with box-shadow, I’ve done backflips… I’ve quickly checked the javascript, but no maestro there and I think it might be the culprit.

Just leaving this post here… for well documenting it (and hoping someone ran into this issue recently and overcame it).

    Cheers

    Hi there,

A guess would be that the theme’s CSS is affecting the slider as there shouldn’t be any box-shadow CSS attributes in Meta Slider’s stylesheet.

As you mentioned it’s difficult for us to debug the issue if you’re working locally and we’re unable to see the error in context.

Please get back in touch if you (or anyone else experiencing this) are able to reproduce on a live site as we would be keen to resolve the issue.

    Many thanks,
    Dave

Hi Dave, so sorry for only getting back to this now. I’ve since moved on and I think I solved it by changing the way it works. If remember correctly it had to do with PNG transparency.

    EDIT:

This is the live link website now proamico.co.za and on the about page proamico.co.za/about-our-wines/#nav-wrap there’s a two image slider next to the content that had the issue.

    Hi there,

Glad you got it sorted in the end – sounds like the border was part of the image.

Let us know if you experience the issue again.

    Many thanks,
    Dave
