    I’m currently using the Dandelion Theme. The site is

    https://www.jfowlerphotography.com

    I cannot find any information on how to set up the correct return-to default page once a user confirms the subscription via email. Currently, I have only two pages on my blog: HOME and ABOUT and two external links.

    Under Subscribe2 | Settings | Appearance, there is an item labeled:

    Set default Subscribe2 page as ID:

    with a dropdown box to the right. Unfortunately, the only items the dropdown box contains are ABOUT and MAP. Oddly enough, I don’t have a MAP page, so I don’t know where that’s coming from.

    Again, I’d like to have the user returned to my HOME page. How do I do that?

    Thanks in advance,

  • @jimf29605,

    It looks, from your site, like you are using the Widget. If that’s the case you can set the Widget to return to the home page in the Widgets settings. Go to Appearance->Widgets then click on the down arrow on the right side of the placed Subscribe2 Widget.

    Then look for the drop down under where it says “Post form content to page: ” and choose the option “Use Home Page”.

    Thanks, mattyrob, for your quick response, but you missunderstood my question. I have the suscribe box placed on the correct page — my HOME page. What I need to figure out is why a user is being taken to my ABOUT page after confirming (via email) the subscription request. I would like for the user to be taken to my HOME page.

    Thanks for your help,

    @jimf29605,

    Subscribe2 needs a WordPress page to exist to work correctly (creation of a page is covered in the installation instructions). If you use the Widget on the sidebar then users can enter their email but when they click the email link they need to land somewhere on your site that is a page so the plugin can show them their subscription (or unsubscription) has been successful.

    The reason your About page is the landing page is because it is the only WordPress page on your site that the plugin can use. You need to complete the installation steps and create a page for Subscribe2 to use and then choose this page in the settings.
