returns bluehost instead of hostgator

  • a site that i am working with, robchrisman.com, is hosted by hostgator. Using either the sucuri free scan, or ithemes pro, which calls sucuri for a scan, return the wrong hosting ( BlueHost) and times out. Installing the plugin sucuri wp Plugin also has the very same issue. what am i doing wrong?
    i’ve used ithemes security pro which calls the free scanner, and used the wp sucuri plugin, which returns the same thing, and used the site scan all say its hosted on bluehost. the whois database shows the hg name servers. its definitely some sort of sucuri error. i’ve talked to all entities, ithemes, hostgator support, and now this forum.

    Your domain robchrisman.com is resolving to the IP address 50.87.151.32 that appears to be owned by Bluehost when you run a whois for it. BlueHost and HostGator are both owned by EIG, so this may be the reason behind it if you don’t own a BlueHost account.
