To make it easier for Google to discover your Web Story, we recommend integrating Web Stories into your website, such as linking them from your homepage or category pages where applicable or add your Web Story URL to your sitemap.

Thank you but I still wonder if my story will be crawled if I chose not to link to it? That was my question ??

And about images. I cannot find the guidelines about using the same image for different pages. So would love your answer to that too.

Googlebot can only crawl web pages if it knows about them. That happens for example by linking to your content from other places it already is aware of, or by adding them to the XML sitemap. In your case, you’d want to make sure the web stories are listed in your XML sitemap.

I don’t think there is anyone that says one must not use images multiple times ??
You shouldn’t need to worry about how many times you can use an image on web pages.
