    Hello!

When I compare “gross sales” in Woocommerce to Google Analytics there is a bit of difference.

    Woocommerce: 73929.75 kr gross sales
    GA: 82 440,50 kr revenue

Both say 42 orders and 84 product articles. We have not had any returns of product during this month. From what I understand Google Analytics includes shipping costs and VAT so that might be an explanation. However in Woocommerce the definition of gross sales states that it can include shipping costs and VAT. Please help!

    Best regards,
    Isabella

  • Hi @isabella92,

Are you still seeing the difference? GA does include shipping costs and VAT, so this is very possibly the reason you see the difference. To make sure, you can go to Google and turn off the Shipping tracking option and tax tracking option for a short time, and run some test orders, then check Google again (after it shows, probably about a week or so) and see if it is the difference.

More on how to do that is located at this link for Enhanced Tracking.

    Thank you for your reply!

Yes I am still seeing the difference. Just to be clear, shippings costs and VAT are never included in Woocommerce right?

    Thanks I will try that!
