• I inherited a website from an agency that no longer exists… they dropped the client with no resource. They were using the Lite version of the plugin to offload media to Amazon S3. The assets were removed from the media library via this plugin as well.
I have no access to the Amazon bucket. What I’d like to do is bring back the files to the local media library.

I’ve moved a copy of the site to my server to redesign and update the site (on a temporary domain) and the first thing I want to do is bring those assets back. But, not being on the client’s domain, the plugin admin page shows that the keys need to be updated.

Here’s my question… I’m happy to pay for the Pro version of the plugin to be able to restore the files. BUT, will I be able to do this without the Amazon bucket keys (i.e. being connected to where the assets are stored)? I don’t want to do this on the live site at their current server.

    Hi,

WP Offload Media Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out with your query! We would be happy to assist.

Unfortunately, if you do not have a working access keys, it would be impossible for WP Offload Media (free or pro) to access your bucket.

I would suggest to try and contact the AWS Support directly regarding this, as they would be more knowledgeable and might have a way to help you in your situation. (i.e. a way to recover access to the AWS account or bucket)

    Thank you.
