Reverting back to original

    Hi guys. Before I attempt to bulk optimize the images, is there a way to bulk revert back to their original ones?

    Also does the plugin create new images or optimize the existing ones?

    Hi antanast,

    There isn’t a way to revert images, no. The plugin works with what is there. So if you have already optimized with another plugin, it’s going to optimize those images again. I don’t know that there is anything out there that can “unoptimize” an image to revert it back to an original.

    Also, it optimizes the actual image and is a permanent change to that image. So, no, it doesn’t create a new image (unless you generate a new alternate file type, like a WebP version).
