    Hello,
Starting on October 26th, everything in search console is dropping, review snippets, recipes, Sitelinks searchbox etc. I started with 500+ and they are all down to 74 and dropping.

Also, at the same time, my Pinterest titles on the pages I published on or after Oct 26th show like this:

    %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%% %%primary_category%%

I tried rolling back the plugin and clearing my cache, but so far it’s still doing it.

What did I break, and how do I fix it? Help!

    Thank you!

Update: I rolled back all of my plugins to Oct 14th (that was the only backup I had before Oct 26th) and now my Pinterest titles are fixed, so I’m hoping all of it is fixed.

I still need to know what caused it because I’ll need to update those plugins at some point, so do you have any ideas?

    Thank you!

We’re really sorry to read about the issue you are experiencing.

Unfortunately, this relies mostly on the change in Google’s algorithm. Seeing a ranking drop may also occur due to a number of other factors. It could be related to a change of your site loading time, site structure, content quality, the competition of the search terms, losing rank of the particular search terms, etc.

Are you seeing any crawl errors in your Google Search Console report?

We also recommend you to read the following two articles on Yoast.com to learn more about how to find out what’s causing the drop and how to overcome this:
How to analyze a sudden drop in traffic
What to do if the traffic on your blog is decreasing?

Regarding the Pinterest title showing raw variables output on the title, we are not immediately sure if it’s due to our Yoast SEO plugin, we recommend updating all your active plugins and themes.

You might need to do a conflict check if still, the issue appears after updating (undo rollback) like before.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.`

Thank you for the reply. I haven’t had a drop in traffic. I believe it’s a conflict of some sort. Even my breadcrumbs have dropped. I had 509 valid breadcrumbs, now I have 97. There are no errors, or valid with warnings, the others are just gone.

I’m going to see if rolling back the plugins fixed it. I have a feeling it did.

Update: Rolling back my apps fixed the problem, so it was a conflict. I’m not sure between which apps, but everything is back to normal for now.

    Hi @kkw7170

We’re glad to hear that you were able to resolve this issue.

Please do note that the Yoast SEO plugin outputs its own set of schema.org structured data in a graph (to make it possibly eligible for rich results in the search results, such as for breadcrumbs).

It’s possible that other plugins or themes might have their own set of schema that could have caused this issue. You can learn more about how to test it using the Rich Results Tool here – https://yoast.com/help/rich-snippets-in-search-results/
