Review summary

  • Hi,

    I am using the premium version of the Ultimate Reviews on a client WooCommerce site and they have asked if the following is possible:

    • Create a list of submitted reviews by user so that they can log in a view their past reviews
    • When someone replies to a review they are taken to a page that shows all the reviews for that product. Can this be changed to take the user to a thank you page instead.

    Please advise if these are possible and if so, how I can incorporate them.

    Hi Studio,

    While these would make for neat feature suggestions, there is currently no way to do either.

    For displaying all reviews by a specific user, there is no functionality for that built in to our plugin. While our reviews are a custom post type, the review author is not the same as the post author, so you would not be able to make use of WordPress’s author archives for this.

    And, while you can set a redirect page for after someone submits a review, there is currently no way to do so for after a comment is left. Our reviews are a custom post type and just make use of the regular WordPress post commenting system, so maybe if there’s a way you can set a redirect for WordPress’s regular comments, there would be a way to do it for our post type, but that isn’t something we’ve ever tried or tested.
