Hi the team behind WP Customer Reviews,

I’m so grateful to you for making this wonderful plugin.
The tool worked like a charm and helped our business very much.

However, in the latest version the reviews no longer show.
    See my page: https://ninza.co/review
There used to be 60+ reviews there, but now nothing is showing. I have not made any changes to the short codes, and this has happened after I upgraded the plugin recently.

Please let me know how I can resolve the issue to return the normal sweet performance of the plugin. I really appreciate your effort.

    Thank you in advance.
    Pi

  • I too am experiencing problem. Reviews no longer show after upgrade. Please advise.

Zinza, how to you fix this issue? I’m having the same problem.

After I updated the plugin, it was automatically deactivated. I had to go in and re-activate the plugin. Might fix your issue?

However – beware – after re-activating the plugin my reviews have all duplicated multiple times within the list and I have to manually delete them.

It does work, after you activate, then go to the page that you have the reviews on. Make sure the The short code [WPCR_INSERT] is there.

    THEN —

You have to scroll down the page and TURN ON reviews on that page by clicking the check box. Then enter all the company info in.

    Your set. It works!

Yes I did the same thing as krazykatz911 instructed. And the reviews now show again ?? ?? ??

Experienced same problem as others have reported. After updating the plugin was deactivated. When I manually activated the plugin, there were a couple of very quick error messages, then the screen cleared. The reviews are now listed again.

For some reason the suggestion here did not work for me, I lost all of my reviews. Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?

Chaseaidan, yea I have the same problem. I have 0 reviews now. We use Subversion (SVN) to distribute our plugins. We went from WordPress 4.2.2 to 4.3.1 and WPCR 2.4.8 to 3.0.1. Chaseaidan what version of WP and WPCR are you running? Also did you check your error log (look for error.log or ask your hoster)? I might be able you help you and myself at the same time :). You might have the same problem. Maybe we need to update with a version between 2.4.8 to 3.0.1 for a smooth upgrade. Or its because of plugin rights :).

    Server Info: Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)
    PHP Version: 5.3.3-7+squeeze19
    MySQL Version: 5.1.73

This is the error i get:

WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ”wp_wpcreviews’ ORDER BY page_id ASC, id ASC’ at line 1 for query SELECT * FROM ‘wp_wpcreviews’ ORDER BY page_id ASC, id ASC made by require_once(‘wp-admin/admin.php’), do_action(‘admin_init’), call_user_func_array, WPCustomerReviews3->admin_init, WPCustomerReviews3->admin_function, call_user_func_array, WPCustomerReviewsAdmin3->real_admin_init, WPCustomerReviewsAdmin3->post_activate, WPCustomerReviewsAdmin3->check_migrate, wpcr3_migrate_2x_3x, referer: https://www.websitename.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

combinemarketing – I read in other threads that you can install an older version of WP Customer Reviews and they will come back. However I already had copied and pasted all of my reviews by pulling them up the archived testimonial page @ https://archive.org/web/

Still i think its a bug tough. Of course I can copy them, but i have multiple clients with multiple reviews. I will try an older version as bridge.

    yes, all reviews are gone.

had to google page and save cache version so i can reenter them

however some were going to be approved, and are now gone for good.
i was going to approve them after upgraded plugin

happened on 2 sites that i upgraded

    Hi folks.

Thanks for your patience while we sort out the issue with missing reviews after upgrade. For most of you, the immediate fix is to roll back to version 2.8 until we are able to get the fix in place. Here are instructions on how to do that: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-downgrade-to-2x?replies=9

NOTE: Try the suggestion from krazykatz911 first before you roll back to version 2.8. In many cases that works.

Version 3.0.2 has been released. If you have the missing / duplicate review issue, go to the “Tools” tab on the plugin settings page to resolve.

For those willing to try 3.0 again, please do so. If for some reason it does not work for you ( with the reimport-2x fix ), you can always follow the same steps to go back to 2.x
