    Hi, we installed this widget a few months ago at the bottom of the home page. However, it worked great initially but no new reviews have appeared since we’ve launched the site. I see in the settings there is an option to change the sorting in the pro version. Is it a requirement to have the pro version to see the latest reviews or am I just missing something. Please let me know if you need more details on this issue.

    Hi Collin,

    Could you delete the current Yelp widget and add new one? Then connect your Yelp business again. It should update the reviews. But if you will not see new reviews, it means that Yelp didn’t added these into the Yelp API which used in the plugin.

    The Yelp API returns only 3 most helpful reviews. It’s a limitation of Yelp, not specifically the plugin.

    Collin, were you able to resolve this? I’m having the same issue, and the above ideas didn’t help me. I’d love to know if you were able to fix it.

    No, there doesn’t appear to be a fix. The widget just show whatever the last 3 Yelp reviews it wants. You don’t have a lot of control over that. Sorry I can’t help more!

    Hi,

    @rleegarrison the plugin uses a Yelp reviews API to get your reviews and this API returns only 3 reviews and nothing more. Unfortunately, the plugin can’t control third-party service like Yelp, the plugin just show all that Yelp API returns and there’re only 3 reviews.

    But sometimes (unfortunately, we can’t know when exactly, because it’s a Yelp part), Yelp changes these 3 reviews and add a new ones, in this case the plugin gets it and show more than 3 reviews on the site. According to our observations, this happens about once every 5-6 months.

    So the person who answers support emails is completely different from whomever responds here! I got an answer via support that fixed our issue. Collin, try this – I simply had to remove the widget from the widget area and then re-add it. Then of course reconnect to our Yelp page. Boom. Fixed.
