Revision history no longer showing

  • Since the WP 5.0 update there is no longer any option to view the revision history for any page. The option checkbox no longer shows up in the screen options and no history option appears anywhere else. This has happened on all my sites. I am not running any caching plugins nor any database optimizers. I am running the sites on WPEngine which is a WP optimized hosting provider. Can anyone shed light on whether this is a feature that was dropped or has something to do with the hosting environment?

  • Wondering if there have been any updates to the revisions problem. I’ve tried all suggestions in this thread to no avail. Thanks for any info.

    I just came across this and I have none of the mentioned plugins. WTF! Seriously. Surely this issue should be obvious and fixed?

    @bst7 I did as well after losing a couple hours work. I didn’t have the plugins mentioned as well. I did find in my WP Edit settings were set at 1 max revision for both pages and posts. I never set them to that so maybe they reverted to that number in an update?? Who knows. Super frustrating.
