• My question is about seeing the LIST of revisions below the content field whether using Classic or Block editor. After reviewing many other posts (such as https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/what-happened-to-revisions/ and https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/revision-history-no-longer-showing/), this is not an issue with WPEngine or whether a revision history “define” function exists in the config file, and not something for which a plugin should be needed for a core WordPress functionality. I have many sites still using Classic editor and the revision HISTORY shows as a list below the content field including author and date and can be turned on or off in the Screen Options. In the Block editor, I find no way to display the list; only the number of revisions and the ability to select a prior version. If Custom Fields can be turned on (as well as SEO fields with appropriate theme or plugin) below the content field, why can the revision LIST not be turned on? I don’t want to have to scroll through sometimes 20 revisions to see which authors were most active on a page and at what point in time when converting classic pages and posts to the block editor. What can be done about this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If you are a general Fixing WordPress moderator, I would hope for you to recommend a solution consistent with my request and WordPress core. I mentioned 1) I didn’t want to use a plugin to do something that WordPress already does in one editor, and 2) you actually recommended two plugins that don’t do what I requested as your link above was modified from what I received in the email notice. The link above goes to a plugin with warning “hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress.” The link I received in my email, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/revision-manager-tmc/, shows the exact revision list that I’d like to see in the block editor in screenshot #11, but shows it in classic.

This should be fixed in WordPress core to display the same list in block editor.

You don’t have to use a plugin.

The idea is you can always take a look at the source code to get some idea ??

    Anyhow, Happy New Year ??
