I’m a new user with this plugin. I have attempted to schedule future updates to an existing post several times. Despite selecting a date and time in the future (several days away), when I “approve” the revision, the post is updated immediately.

Honestly, it could be user error. I don’t find the plugin easy to use and the screenshots here don’t look like what I see in my wordpress.

Is anyone else having issues? Once I “approve” a revised post scheduled for the future, it publishes immediately and no longer shows in the Revision Queue.

    Hi @thriverelo

Could you confirm if you’ve been doing the correct step? This is the recording for reference: https://www.loom.com/share/2b5f1db51b104a86b55525ac9d00e81b

    Thanks,

@thriverelo I also looked into this, but wasn’t able to replicate the error. We’ll be glad to follow up in the new year if Riza’s reply didn’t clear it up.

    Thanks for your reply.

First, my screen doesn’t look like yours. Not sure why. The scheduling area in the post looks different and I don’t have a “scheduled” column in the revision queue.

I followed those exact steps and it published right away, does not have the “header” indicating it is a scheduled revision, and does not show in the revision queue. I verified that it was actually published by checking it from my phone. I have since gone back and changed the post back to what it was originally as the link I inserted is not live yet.

    Thanks for trying to help!

    Hi @thriverelo

You’re using the old editor, not the new Gutenberg block editor.

The most likely issue is that you’re using another plugin on your site that isn’t supported by Revisions. Here’s a general list of what we support: https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/plugins-revisions-support/

I’d recommend disabling other plugins one-by-one to see if you can identify any other problems causing issues.

Ah, thank you! I can’t seem to find the new editor. How do I get that? I installed and activated the gutenberg blocks plugin but that didn’t seem to help.

Hi @thriverelo. The Gutenberg block editor is part of the core of WordPress. You don’t need to install anything.

My guess is that a theme or plugin on your site is disabling the block editor and also causing problems with the Revisions plugin.
