Revisiting Verifying my Website with Pinterest

    I’m trying to verify my website, https://www.katydidcards.com ,with Pinterest and am having difficulty. This is what I have done thus far:

    I followed the instructions on Pinterest for verifying with the meta tag

    This attempt was not successful. I receive the following message:
    “Oops! Trouble verifying your domain. Please try again later.”

    I followed the instructions provided by FilmanSantiago. They were clear, concise and easy to follow. I have a child/parent theme, so I inserted the meta tag in the parent them under <head>. and I received the same error message.

    Next, I installed Phil Derksen’s, “Pinterest Verify” plug-in. Again, it couldn’t have been easier to follow. I inserted the code in between the “ ” per the very clear instructions and diagram but receive the same error message.

    I’m not sure what I should try next. It’s frustrating that something so cut and dry should be so difficult to accomplish.

    I do try to work things like this out for myself in an attempt to learn what the heck I’m doing, but I’m stumped. Does anyone have any helpful advice for me?
