Hello guys, I am currently using the rev slider, when I activate the Async JavaScript, either on defer or unsync the slider on the main page doesn’t show. I have activated the insert js to the footer and the defer js loading on global but it still doesn’t work, any ideas on how to fix this?
I also have tried adding the addon as an exception.

in that case: try excluding jquery.js from being asynced/ deferred as well?

As I see it all of the front page (in this case the home page) all js get crazy, sometimes work sometimes do not work after unsync is activated.

    hey John;
just had a look but it seems you have asyncjs already deactivated. based on that last copy/paste you did though, it seems like you had “fast velocity minify” running as well, which is likely to cause issues when combined with asyncjs (as FVM changes filenames, so excluding jquery from asyncjs for example might not work). hope this clarifies somewhat.

    have a nice weekend!

hey mate I am going to disable FVM and try again, I will let you know, btw if you want I can activate ansync as it is and let you have a look at it if it helps.

    Thread Starter johndos

    (@johndos)

by the way does that mean that I can either use the ansync or FVM? Cause I need both minify and defer.

    (@optimizingmatters)

I don’t know FVM well enough I’m afraid, maybe it can async as well?

    Thread Starter johndos

    (@johndos)

yes it can but I wanted to use a tool that it’s primary purpose is defer. If this can’t be solved I will go with the FVM defer solution, I just added that for it’s minifing abilities.

Excluding the RevSlider plugin, with the exclude the plugin method in Async JS plugin worked for me and removed all the Revslider associated errors.

    (@optimizingmatters)

good to know, thanks for the feedback Umair! ??

    Thread Starter johndos

    (@johndos)

Yeah mate sorry I solved it somehow and forgot to mark it as closed. I deferred the revslider within the rev settings and then stopped deferring the jquery as it seems there is no way around it.

thanks for the follow-up anyway John!

    enjoy your weekend!
