Rewrite of custom taxonomy

  • I have a custom taxonomy “product-category”.
    All parent terms are displayed on a page myurl.com/directory/ with some custom code.

    I want the url for a parent term to be myurl.com/directory/term-name and have WordPress pick the term-name up as a product-category term so I can do some magical stuff.

    Is this possible? If so, how? If not, what are the alternatives?
