Ribbon Lite Logo Supprt

Please help me. My logo size is 185×44 and I would like to ad an adsense banner on the side of it that is 728X90. When I add the adsense banner, my logo pushes up and everything does not look proportionate. Can someone please help explain why it does that and what I need to do.
