Rich link Preview not working

Please give us more details on where exactly you are posting the links and the image is not the one you have set with Yoast SEO. If applicable, please send us screenshots too, so we may better understand what’s wrong.

Hi Marius, Thanks so much. So I uploaded a media image on Yoast seo. 300×266 px.
Then I debugged facebook but it still said that Og:image missing. So I went to Yoast general and added the image to the social page : facebook link again and activated twitter for large image. debugged and Then it showed on facebook only, infact it even took other link images.

However, now when I want to share a link, any link from site to whatsapp or on twitter, the link preview does not show. not of the home page, neither of rest. Just the url.

Example: If i post this link, the related image on this should show in the link preview, any preview right? https://www.indianmemoryproject.com/190-2/ Except for facebook it doesn’t show anywhere. not on twitter not on whatsapp.
The yoast image seo is prescribed to be this : https://www.indianmemoryproject.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Yadav_sisters_seo.jpg yet it does not work, and I had to attach it to social facebook again.

Hi @anusha75,

Twitter caches URLs which have been previously posted. Thus, if a URL has been posted before (before setting the Twitter image tags), it will not crawl the URL again to see these changes. Unlike Facebook, Twitter does not allow clearing the cache through the sharing debugger.

However, there is a workaround by adding query strings to your URLs. Thus, when adding them, Twitter will consider them new URLs and will scrape the page for tags instead of using the cached ones.

For example, you can use these URLs with query strings, to make the social media networks to crawl the page again:

• Twitter: https://www.indianmemoryproject.com?utm_source=twitter
• WhatsApp: https://www.indianmemoryproject.com?utm_source=whatsapp

You can use any other query string too. I used these ones as they’re also valid parameters for Google Analytics. You could just use ?1 as the query string and it should work the same. Does this fix your issue?
