Rich Pins not displaying correctly
-
Hi
I have a couple of issues with the Pinterest sharing functions. They may or mayn’t be related so I’ll detail them both together and let someone else decide if this should be 2 tickets.
Using the image sharing button, pinned images are not displaying correctly as rich pins. Some elements are shown (like the title, favicon) but not the correct description. It appears that the description on the rich pin maybe the SEO keyword not the description
Here’s a link to a post from my blog. https://mowgli-adventures.com/hiking-in-bohemian-switzerland-national-park/
When I pin this to Pinterest it displays the pin with the Title in bold, the title repeated in regular font. You can see the first pin with the problem described on the board: https://uk.pinterest.com/MowgliAdventure/pins/If you look a little further down that board, there is another Pin called Cheddar Gorge cliff top walk to blow your mind. This is displayed correctly with the description underneath the bold title. This was pinned before I installed the Sumome plugin so I’m guessing this is plugin related.
The second issue is on the share sliders – when select the Pinterest option on the left, I don’t get the correct image as an option – it should be the image from the very bottom of the post – but I’m given every other image except that one. Either way, when I pin via this function the same issue re rich pins occurs.
Really appreciate any guidance you can provide.
Angela
