• Hello.

I am using your Gutenberg Blocks. The review block is great, but not showing the rating etc. in SERPS (search results). How do I do that? I am using Percentage for rating. Is this the “error”? Only star ratings?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @aclys! Do you have a link to the affected page? Using percentage values for the review block hasn’t triggered errors in Google’s Rich Results Test (on our end), although there could be some issues that went undetected. While rating display in search engines are limited to 5 stars, any valid value for both the given rating and the highest possible rating should work.

@aclys Do not use short links in these forums, that has been abused in the past and is expanded when found. I have expanded yours into the link field.

The link field is only viewable to logged in forum users and cannot be seen by search engines.

Hi @aclys! Although the review block is present in the page you linked, it doesn’t have the review schema. Please ensure that the review schema setting is turned on and use Google’s Rich Results Test to check for the presence of a review snippet within the page.

Thanks for your reply. I have checked it before and I have checked again. But: Th button was and still is enable and schema should be displayed. Because it’s not, I have posted here, because it is an error.

Hi @aclys! We’re still unable to figure out what prevents the schema from being added to your page if you indeed have it turned on. Google and other search engines cannot instantly detect changes in your pages, and updating entries take time.

However, to confirm that turning on the review schema worked correctly, please view the source code of your page by pressing Ctrl+U (or its equivalent in your browser and/or operating system). The code that enables the review schema begins with <script type="application/ld+json">{ "@context": "https://schema.org/", "@type": "Review". Although it’s not visible on the page itself, it should be present in the source code immediately after turning it on.

@alexius08 I know that search engines cannot detect changes instantly, but truth is: the other reviews I wrote since then, have it turned on from the start are a few days old and with other plugins (not a block) were displayed instantly in recent months at another page I had (doesn’t exist). And changes made on my older page were detected very fast and changed in google’s SERPs.

The code snippet you sent is available in the code. But the stars or percentages aren’t displayed. Although it is a week ago since the changes. So, it should be visible in google SERPs right now, but aren’t. Not for this review, not for any other written since then.
