    Hello,
I’m using your recipe cards but unfortunately my rich snippets dont work. It doesnt show the picture and other details in Google search even though I filled it in my posts. Could you please give me an advice how to fix it?

    Thank you!

  • Hello @thefoodspiration

I’ve tested (look here) one of your recipe posts and it seems you have multiple snippets on the post page (e.g. hentry, Article, Recipe, Product). This is why Google Search Engine doesn’t recognize which of them display on the search page. We are trying to fix this issue and include it in the next update. In the meantime, you can try to install and activate this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/no-hentry/

I want to remark one issue that I’ve found to the recipe card. Probably you have added some CSS code
    .shortcode-ingredients > h5, .shortcode-directions > h5 { font-size: 5px; font-family: "montserrat", sans-serif; }
to Additional CSS classes in Block Settings, please remove them from this field and add it to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS.

    Hello,
I replaced the additional CSS to location where you wrote. Also I installed the plugin. Is the installation everything what is needed to do? I don’t see it made a difference in Google search for now :(.

    Thank you!

    Hello @thefoodspiration

We saw that Google has updated the markup algorithm for recipes. Now we try to find the best solution to fix this issue to include it in the next plugin update.

@thefoodspiration We have updated yesterday the plugin, and fixed the issues with Google Rich Snippets.

Great! I updated the plugin, anyway it still doesn’t appear in a search. Is it going to take a while before Google will recognize too?

    Thank you.

@thefoodspiration, yes, probably it will take a while until the result will appear as you want.
These kind of things are not controlled by us, so we can’t really help with anything here.
We can only guarantee that our plugin is correctly developed accordingly to the requirements asked by Google and other search engines.

You can see in the testing tools that the preview is fine, without any problems:

    Great, thank you!
I have one more (and last – I promise) question. I would like to update to a newer version of PHP. I got a plugin to check whether my plugins are fine with 7.3 version. But with WP zoom recipe cards it says this:

FOUND 1 ERROR AFFECTING 1 LINE
    ———————————————————————————————————————————————–
1372 | ERROR | “$this” can no longer be used in a plain function or method since PHP 7.1.

    Is it really a problem?

    Thank you!
    Jana
