Rich Text Editor Broke

    When I am using the RTE, i am trying to create a link however the link button is greyed out (even if i highlight text). I still click the link and am able to add the link. However, when i click update (or publish) the page updates/publishes but it clears all the content.

    Seems the RTE is broke. Any help is appreciated

    additional info:

    – i have cleared my cache and that didn’t work
    – i have opened phpmyadmin and repaired wp-posts table and that didn’t work.

    I am really helpless! please help!

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    esmi…thanks for your help! There was a plugin that was causing this behavior.
