We’ve got a table with quite a few rows, more than a screenful, and we’re keeping a link with custom link text in a column of each row. This is pretty tedious to maintain without a way to select existing text and create a link by pasting a URL. Might it be possible to support this functionality and/or make the link button more readily accessible for the currently-being-edited cell?

    Thanks so much for TablePress.

Perhaps I misunderstand, but if you enter any cell while holding the shift key, it enables a dialog wherein you can highlight text and paste a link or perform a few text operatives.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The best way here should indeed be the “Advanced Editor” that Bob mentions. It’s available via the button below the table, but also via holding “Shift” and clicking into a cell. It will also show you an “Insert Link” button.

For the future, I do indeed plan that the buttons are more easily accessible, by always showing them.

    Regards,
    Tobias
