I just downloaded the newest version of WordPress (2.0 or something like that) today. When I log into the WP-Login site I then go to “Write”, “Write Page”, then I chose one of my pages that I want to edit. When I go to edit them it’s using rich text mode or something and always causes my pages to mess up and not go how I want them. Is there anyway to get out of this mode?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn’t find anything.

  • Click “Users”

Make sure you’re on the “Your profile” tab

    Scroll to the bottom

Remove the tick from “Use the visual rich editor when writing” and click “Update profile”

And yes, that’s not the most obvious place to find it!

Thanks so much. I was looking all over the place where you edited the pages. I would have never found it there.
    Thanks again!
