• I really wanted to see what was inside those .xpi files that I install as plugins for Mozilla and I hacked the Blog This plugin from Phil Ringnalda to be compatible with WordPress. The installation can be a little confusing, but it sure is worth it for me. I might write a php packaging script for WP if I get bored (much like YABBOB). In the meantime, enjoy the Blog This for Mozilla hack.
PS: Rightful credit goes to Ted Mielczarek for the original code and idea. Thank you!

This is meant for Mozilla. The Google toolbar is an Internet explorer API implementation that is not related to this hack. Google does not release their toolbar code (as fas as I know, you could check). However, it is very possible to add your own button to Internet explorer, though it is definitely more work than just editing a few files. You could just use the bookmarklet from the admin page.

I worked through your Mozilla extension, and all seemed to go well… However, it appears to be slightly buggy?..

It will only launch the wp “write” page if you haven’t already logged in… Otherwise it opens up the dashboard…

Also – when it does correctly go to the “write” page, it’s swapping “spaces” for “20”…

    Any ideas?…

Also – does anybody know how to implement such “right-click” tools for other apps such as word, or outlook etc?… It would be great to get a “system-wide” right click function that posts all sorts of info direct to the blog.

    Thanks
    Gary
