Ah, right, new, sorry.
4.4.9 must be something other than WordPress. (WP’s current version is 3.2.1.) Log in your administration panels. On your Dashboard, in the “Right Now” box, you’ll see “You are using WordPress…” followed by the version number.
Look at the content of the style.css of your theme. At the top, you’ll see Theme Name, Theme URI, etc. Is there an entry “Template”? If so, does it indicate that the template is Kubrick?
If it doesn’t it could still be a version of Kubrick that was directly edited, a processed that isn’t recommended since updated to the theme overwrite your changes. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes
Kubrick was the default theme prior to Twenty Ten’s introduction with WordPress 3.0. “Template: Kubrick” in your style.css bases your current theme on Kubrick. Kubrick had only one sidebar, which would support my theory that it’s this elaborate sidebar hack that’s broken.
If that’s the case, you’ll may want to hire someone to fix it for you or strip it out the existing code and widgetize it per the link I left above.
