right sidebar and search field

    Most of my pages display the right search bar holding the archive and the search bar.
    How do I get rid of it? I don’t need that anywhere but I would like to keep the search somewhere. Even in the footer is fine.

  • Hi,

    You can remove and assign them in footer, here is an option to do that.
    Goto: Appearance->Widgets(Right side you can see list of widget locations and assigned widgets inside each list, some may be empty).

    Ok I was able to add a search bar to the footer this way, but the sidebar and archive still appear to the right. How do I get rid of it altogether?

    Hi,

    Go go admin dashboard and open the page(s) you want to make full width.

    On the right side from Page Attributes section select Page with Full Width template and publish the page.

    Do the same for all pages you want to show in full width.
