rights to change colors and themes in dashboard

  • some built a site for us and now I try to change color setting and other things. This is impossible the site creator tells me. I tell him, you need to give full access so I can make changes myself.
    He tells me that PHP language is needed to change that. In other words, this will take some time and cost money again!!
    The same man built another site for me, on that one we have full control..!
    What is the problem here or what I am not seeing ??

    Unfortunately, you will need to contact the person who built the theme for you. At its simplest form, all that’s need to change something like theme colors is custom CSS. So it sounds like you’re trying to use an interface to change colors and you do not have access. If that’s the case, it was intentional. So whoever put that restriction in place would be the person to contact.
