Robots.txt file being edited by Rank Math

    Hi, Rank Math,

    I wanted to check if your plugin automatically edits the robots.txt file if it is present? I am not referring to the virtual file created by WordPress as it is not editable.

    Specifically, does your plugin add the following:

    User-agent: Scrapy
Allow: /

    I understand from your help article that your plugin can only edit the Virtual file and cannot edit a real robots.txt file but I just wanted to double-check the Rank Math plugin was not somehow automatically editing the manually created robots.txt file.

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    No, Rank Math does not edit any physical Robots.txt file on the server. We only create a virtual Robots.txt file.

    Hope that clears the confusion and helps.
