Role Scoper- Can't read posts when logged in

Hello all. I am wondering if anyone knows the solution for my problem. If I visit my blog without logging in I can view pages and read the content of them. However once I log in as a user I receive this error message when trying to ‘read more’ on any of my posts:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /data/19/2/64/113/2553765/user/2799086/htdocs/wordpress1/wp-content/themes/montezuma/includes/breadcrumbs.php on line 43
When I deactivate the Role Scoper plugin everything works fine again, however then everyone can see all of my posts when they are not signed in. Any insight into what this problem may be or any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
