Role suddenly unlocked all admin to regular users

  • Hi, on Friday, my website members were suddenly seeing full admin when logging in. I checked the user Capabilities and sure enough, everything was suddenly ticked for them to access. I hadn’t made ay changes since setting the correct capabilities for that roll a few weeks prior.

    Luckily we caught it fast and changed it back but it could have been a serious disaster. Worried about it happening again as no idea what caused it.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

    No, I haven’t seen this. The plugin only makes changes to the stored capabilities when you hit save on the Edit Capabilities screen.
