Role to a plugin

  • if I wanted to make a role Editor s which give the possibility of editing a Pop up plugin, how can I do? I see it active only on “Manage options”, but in this way I make visible many other features that I do not want ….. I tried to add a privilege but I do not understand this, then customizes and makes it active for what I need.

    If some plugin does not offer a custom filter to change its default capability, then it’s not possible to force that plugin to use another permission without changing its source code.

    I developed a special “Admin menu blocking” add-on for Pro version to use as a workaround in similar cases, when you have to grant to a role critical ‘manage_options’ capability, but don’t wish that such role has access to the “Settings” and another critical menu items.
