    Hi,

I’m using a specific “new user” role to allow the admin to moderate new users registrations.

Therefore, once a user is promoted from “new user” to “subscriber”, I’d like to send him a dedicated welcome mail.

However, I din’t find an option in the plugin, to only limit the role transactional notification, to a dedicated target role, like “subscriber” in my case.

Currently, whenever I further promote my user to “author” or “contributor”, he’ll receive again the welcome mail, which will be confusing in this case.

Is there an option to do that ? Or a premium add-on ?

    Thanks,

    Pascal.

    Hi Pascal,
    Thanks for your message.

You can’t customise the Post-registration Email on a per-User Role basis however, you can send them a notification for when a User Role Changes and customise as you wish. The notification is called ‘User Role Changed – For User’.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for your prompt response. I am indeed using the notification “user role changed -f or user”, however I don’t find how to only trigger it when the new role is “author” for instance.

If the pluging’s user interface doesn’t allow it, would there be a hook I could use to further refine the trigger condition there ?

    Something like “before_notification_trig” for instance…

    Thanks,

    Pascal.

    Hi @pscolv,
    Ah, I see.

There currently isn’t an option for that but it’s on my roadmap for inclusion in the Conditional Notifications add-on.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Jack
