Roles and capabilities not working

    Hi Bhaldie,

    Since the latest update it seems that the roles and capabilities is not applied in memphis doc. I have check a specific role to be allowed to upload files but memphis doc does not appear in the dashboard for those users anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I wanted to add that I am also having a problem with the roles and capabilities not applying correctly for users. I have given rights to Editors and Authors to manage document, but neither role is able to see the link to “Memphis Docs” in the left-side menu. Also, it looks like the display area under “Roles and Capabilities” has the checkboxes to mark off which roles have rights, but there is no explanation of what rights are being assigned (it looks like the text for the roles just isn’t displaying).

    I’m sorry. I also wanted to add that I had a user with the “Author” role assigned who had done a document update last week with no issues at all. Now, after the update to v3.8.5.1, he also is not able to see the menu link for “Memphis Docs”.

    Temporary solution right now for me was to rollback to a previous version of the plugin.

    this issue should be fixed in version 3.8.6
