Roles out of order when activating this plugin

I’ve got a bunch of roles and I have them nicely ordered in just the order my client wants them when viewing the add user and edit user screens. However when I activate User Role Editor, the order of the roles gets all mixed up. I can’t find a way to fix this in the settings.

The order the roles are displayed is normally the order they’re in when looking at serialized data in the db, but after activating User Role Editor that order isn’t followed. Does anyone know how to stop User Role Editor from changing the order of the roles?
