• Had a few users that when their subscription is auto renewed the bot kicked them out and then didn’t give them their roles back.

There is a ton of them and I am trying my best to try to get stuff done and get these guys fixed.. something is wrong with this bot somewhere.

Please help, this needs to be addresses.

    Thanks!

Would you like to answer my question, please? It seems you’re getting similar inquiries that you’ve addressed, and have ignored mine.

    Thanks

    Hi @bretts
The issue comes from the fact that MemberPress itself uses an internal Cron to update members’ membership states, so there is a delay.
For the moment, can you inform members to disconnect/connect to Discord through the dedicated button on the accounount page

    Hi there,

What is the solution so we don’t have to make users do that?

We have thousands of subscribers and this is becoming an overwhelming problem.

    Thanks

When a subscription undergoes a change: (renewal, cancellation, expiration, etc.) MemberPress executes some event.
The bot, its role is to update the Roles-Memberships relationships, if the MemberPress itself takes time to execute the event, the Bot cannot do anything.

It seems there are lots of issues around the same failure many users are having.

Memberpress admins went into our site to investigate, as you out the blame on them. Apparently this is not the case. We need solutions to this issue very quickly. Here are some of their findings. Please reply with a solution. Thanks

Here is the reply from Memberpress:

“Thank you for your patience. Here’s the update from my colleague:

I did a bit of digging into that Discord integration’s code, and it seems like events in Discord, such as adding a role, removing a role, creating a new user, etc., are handled through a cron-like action scheduling service set up by their plugin. The queue for the scheduling service can be viewed by navigating to Wp-Admin -> MemberPress -> Discord Settings -> Logs and clicking the “Action Queue” button.

I searched for the members by their ID in MemberPress, and it seems like most of the actions are failing for them. For example, I looked up the member?
xxxxxxxxx?by their ID on that Action Queue page (778), and the action that handles deleting their role from the Discord server failed, so if their role was active when it shouldn’t have been, then that’s likely what caused the issue:?https://share.cspf.co/QwuB6zL6.

Unfortunately, the error messages don’t give much information on what failed exactly, so I’d have them provide that screenshot to the developers of the Discord integration and see if they might know what’s causing the issue with actions intermittently failing.

I hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.”

It has not been fixed. Only gotten worse. Absolute disaster. Crushing our business.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing difficulties with roles after the subscription renewal.

I understand how frustrating this can be, and I want to assure you that we’re actively working on a permanent fix.

In the meantime, there is a temporary solution that might help :

Could you please ask your Discord users to disconnect and then reconnect to update their roles? This should address the issue until we implement a more comprehensive solution.

    Is this bug still unresolved?
