Roll back woocommerce

  • I recently started building an online store but i have a problem which i hope is nothing to serious.

    It seems the theme i am using is not compatible with the version of woocommerce that i am using. I currently have woocommerce 2.0.1 installed and according to the creator of the theme I should roll back to version 1.6 to fix my problem.

    At this moment my may concern is that i have spent many many hours getting the site to look just right and adding all the inventory. Is that content at risk when i roll back? I have some experience with wordpress but have never had to work with woocommerce and much less roll back anything. I just want to be sure that my work doesnt just disapear/break when i do this.

    One more thing… how exactly do i roll back. Havent really been successful at finding a walkthrough. I read somewhere in this forum that it is as simple as installing it over my current one? doesnt sound right to me… want to be sure.
