What will be the best way to roll back to 4.8.3 or earlier ?

I set up my site and it worked well (Twenty-Seventeen with Custom-Css for right sidebar and CustomSidebar plugin with self-defined Sidebars)
Since the upgrade the site is not working correctly (Sidebars not showing up on pages ..)
Since there is no competent help, neither from the Themes-support nor from the Plugins-Support to fix this, I am tired to spend hours and hours to try to get the thing running.
So, because I failed to fix this with 4.9 – How can I get the old situation back ?
    Tnx i.a.

Unless you have a backup that you can restore from, downgrading is a dangerous process, which is why backing up before upgrading is strongly recommended both in the upgrade instructions and automatic upgrade interface.

It would be better to solve your current problem.

Have you posted in these theme/plugins dedicated support forums?

If you have, then please give them some time to address the issue.

In fact, your referred CustomSidebar plugin is not in the www.ads-software.com/plugins/ directory

I tried to get support first by the plugin-support-page. They could only provide me with tests, I already did and since then there is no more response …
I tried it in the german forum for the Theme – no answer.
I tried it in the english forum for the theme – no reaction either.

I have another site running by serendipity. When I had a problem there, there was immediate continuous support until the problem was solved.
To me it’s a disappointing experience.

I solved this issue, by just using another theme …tired of trying for hours, getting no support …
