Rollback and Mailpoet updates failed; MP deactivated

    I installed Rollback because Mailpoet updates were failing and the plugin was deactivating instead of rolling back. THIngs seemed to be going swimmingly till this week. A Rollback update failed. Then Mailpoet deactivated itself. These were the reasons I installed Rollback–to prevent this happening.

    What version of the plugin is installed, what version of WordPress is your site running?

    Do you have the Faster Updates plugin installed, what version?

    No. Do I need to? If so, I had no idea that was necessary.

    I’m pretty sure that Rollback cannot be activated without Faster Updates being active. You can find links in the readme, but it’s at https://github.com/afragen/faster-updates

    It doesn’t say where you upload those Rollback files. I presume to the plugins folder? They dont have to go into the Rollback folder, right? I also presume Faster Update is not a regular WP plugin listed in the repository? I didn’t find it when I searched.

    You don’t upload files for Rollback.

    Rollback should not activate unless Faster Updates is installed and activated.

    Rollback Update Failure is a plugin in my list. Is it a plugin with no files? I’m confused.

    Also, do you upload the Faster Update files to their own folder in the Plugins folder?

    You no longer need the Faster Updates plugin. If you are currently on trunk can you test and see if this is still an update issue?

    After 6.2-beta1 you will again be able to activate Rollback Update Failure for testing.
